BrowNow! is a duo formed by percussionist and ethnomusicologist Dr. Anthony Brown and saxophonist Dr. Leonard Brown, professor of music at Northeastern University and founder of the annual John Coltrane Memorial Concert, the world's oldest annual performance tribute to the great musician. BrowNow! brings together performance and scholarship, engaging in collaborative explorations ranging from West African songs to Duke Ellington, from field hollers to spirituals, and from Coltrane standards to improvised selections.
